CHEM 1433 - General Chemistry ICredit Hours: 3 Lecture Hours: 3 Prerequisite(s): MATH 1063 - Foundations of College Algebra with a grade of "C" or better in the course or instructor permission. This course covers the basic principles of inorganic chemistry. Topics covered include scientific measurements and conversions, atomic structure, the periodic table, ionic and molecular compounds, reaction types, stoichiometry, gas laws, thermochemistry, and an introduction to chemical bonding and molecular geometry. Fall, Spring and Summer ACTS Equivalent Course Number = CHEM 1414. Note: Note: This course assumes a solid working knowledge of algebra.
