Corequisite(s): NURS 2502 - Clinical Practicum-Med Surgical II  
This course is a didactic and clinical course which places emphasis on illness profiles in a body systems perspective. It focuses on the nursing care of adults experiencing a wide range of acute and chronic alterations in health. Health promotion strategies and health care principles are examind with an emphasis on alterations in body systems, mobility and the musculoskeletal system, endocrine, renal, gastrointestial, hematologic, integumentary, Neurologic funtions, cancer and pharmacology. This course is intended to improve the student clinical judgment, critical thinking and decision-making skills using various clinical models. Offered in the Summer Only A grade of “C” or better is required for passing.
