BUSI 1003 - Keyboarding

Credit Hours: 3 Lecture Hours: 3
Keyboarding is basic skills training in the touch operation of the alphabetic and numeric keyboards. This is a remedial course that does not count toward the grade point average of the student. Speed and accuracy are emphasized. A typing speed of 35 words per minute with three or fewer errors is required to progress to Document Formatting, Word Processing I, Electronic Spreadsheet, and Database Management. A grade of "C" or higher is required to progress to higher level Business courses. Testing will be done during registration and the first week of class. Students keying over 35 words per minute with three or fewer errors will be placed in Document Formatting. Offered in fall, spring, and summer ACTS Equivalent Course Number = BUSI 1103
